A few new details has emerged on the movie adaptation of The Host.
First, a director switch may be in order.
Susanna White, who'd reportedly been brought on to replace Andrew Niccol (screenwriter) as director for the film, is now out and Niccol (The Truman Show, Gattaca) might be back to refill his old post. Stephenie Meyer has shown a great deal of favor for Niccol's former work, especially when it comes to seeing her own story make it to film, so this transition would make a great deal of sense.
Second, Stephenie Meyer is heading off to Cannes!
Stephenie Meyer herself will be joining producer Nick Wechsler at the Cannes Film Festival next week to promote the film's sale.
